Quality and pollution level of wastewaters are defined by the following factors: type of industry and primary feedstock, and also the peculiarities of regimens of technological processes.
Most industries have both inorganic and organic pollutions of wastewaters in various proportions. The concentration of pollutants in the wastewaters of different industries is not same and varies within quite wide limits depending on the volume of water wasted for one production unit, and also perfection level of technical process and equipment.
Pollutant concentration in the industrial sewages can be extremely variable in time and depends on technological process stage conducted in separate departments or in all the enterprise. Irregularity of concentration and inflow of wastewaters in all cases impairs the functionality of sewage treatment settings and complicates their exploitation.
